Mission Statement: “Assisting churches to reach their full potential of health and fruitfulness.”
Education: As part of
completing his Master of Theology degree from Logos Christian College, Randy
compiled a church operations manual, a practical means to assist pastors. It includes job descriptions for different
ministries within the local church along with a structure for pastoring a
growing church.
In 2006,
Randy completed an ATS accredited Doctoral of Ministry degree from United
Theological Seminary. His dissertation was entitled, "Mentoring Tools for
Growing Pastors and Church Infrastructure". The dissertation addressed the
problems facing the church today and a proactive procedure to overcoming them.
Ministry Experience: J. Randy Grimes is an
ordained minister with the Open Bible Churches. He has served as district superintendent
for the Indiana and Ohio Open Bible Churches since 1999, giving oversight and
leadership to the pastors and churches. In 2007, he
was appointed a member of the national board of directors for the Open Bible
Churches.
In 2007, he celebrated thirty years as senior pastor of Open
Bible Christian Church in Dayton, Ohio. In his tenure at OBC, he has mentored
nineteen other ministers who are ministering and making an impact in the
Kingdom of God.
